Companies as
a whole not only strive for and thrive on success but they strive for and
thrive on the happiness or customer satisfaction that their customers gain from
their time working with them. In many cases, you can easily find what others
think about and have experienced from a company before you yourself becomes a
new customer of theirs. This is otherwise known as Customer Reviews. You can
find such places like these through Google and Yelp. 42nd Street Photo Reviews are readily available to you
and chocked full of information.
What are the People Saying?
42nd Street Photo Reviews on Yelp:
While some
are outstanding such as these:
“42nd street photo is
full of All Star employees like Johnathan, the most caring and attentive people
who want to guarantee your happiness. They were wonderful enough to extend the
warranty on my camera and see that it was repaired in full. I truly had an
awesome experience with them. They have the lowest prices and spend the most
time on their customers. I couldnt be happier and I wouldnt recommend anyone
else.”

“No problems here!
42nd Street Photo had
the best internet price for a flash unit that I wanted. I placed the order on-line and two days later
received a call to "confirm" the order. I felt that was a little odd - so I checked
out the online reviews. To be honest, I
kind of freaked out when I saw all these tales of high-pressure sales and
tactics (and 425 filtered reviews??).
My confirmation rep
"Adam" and I played phone tag for about a day - but when we finally
spoke he just confirmed the shipping address and asked if I had batteries (I
knew it took AAs so I said yes). Much to
my relief - no up sell or hard sell. Got the flash about a week later - brand
new, Canon USA. Absolutely no complaints.”
There are
some who do not have the experience they had hoped for, like these:
“Received a call
regarding my online order for a Camcorder stating that I "needed" an
extra charger because a battery charger wasnt included--an outright lie.
In my early morning fog
I accepted the extra charge and then thought it would be abnormal for the
manufacturer to not include any method of charging for such a device.
I researched the actual
product (I ordered originally for one of my users who simply sent me a direct
link to order) and found no indication that it was missing a charger. I called
a 2nd time and spoke to a Robert to make sure this was actually needed. He
stated that the battery shouldnt be charged in the camcorder. I hung up again,
confused, and researched a bit more.
Called again to have it
removed and it was already "on the belt". It seems like they hold
online orders just to do this phone pitch and then immediately place the actual
order. This whole 3 call ordeal took under 10 minutes and my order is suddenly
processed after this extra charger was added to the order.
I just pray that the
"10 day" return policy is painless. If I fail to get a satisfactory
resolution (i.e. full refund) I will unleashing a fusillade on them since this
is a company order.
Gah, i should have
checked out the yelp reviews. What a world we live in that we need to
thoroughly vet storefronts.
Update Feb 26: Looks
like they were able to get it "off the belt" and cancelled my order
as requested. I was more than prepared to preemptively refuse the shipment, get
a chargeback if needed, and had already notified our book keeper about the
problem.”

“DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING
FROM THIS COMPANY ON LINE!
I tried to order a $251
camera from them. Six days after I
placed my order, I received an e-mail telling me that I needed to call them to
give them additional information. When I
called them, the guy on the phone tried
to get me to buy a battery for $69 and a memory card for $70 (neither of which
I wanted or asked for). They really do
this "sleazy saleman" number on you.
Anyway, I told him to just cancel my entire order, and I bought my camera
somewhere else.
This company totally
tries to upsell you things you do not need.
It's a shady operation to say the least.”
With these 42nd Street Photo Reviews,
some are left to wonder if they are as good some believe or if they leave a lot
to be desired. In many cases, one or both will be true and sometimes it is the
person who took something the wrong way or it was a bad day. A lot of reviews
are very dependent on the person who is behind the review. No matter what it is
done to make a person happy, they are still not happy and will find something
to complain about; and 42nd
Street Photo takes their reviews
in stride.
